Shaped Water

The attempt to impose a form on a flowing stream with a sheet of metal—a standing vortex—became a dialogue with the water. The sheet had to be shaped, placed in the stream and reshaped repeatedly until the vortex formed. This dialogue and the gradual understanding of the current proved to be the work itself.
